While reading various articles on the wonderful world wide web, I found out that 5th wheel insurance isn’t just as simple as buying another wheel and attaching it to the back of your car and hitting the road.

As much as people assume, auto insurances do not exactly cover what people need. So most of the websites that I have browsed recommend getting a specific insurance for your fifth-wheel trailer that can help you in any valid situation while you’re out traveling with your family and friends.

It helps a lot– reading articles from the world wide web! Haha, I found out a lot of things about things that I normally just overlook or disregard. I highly recommend you guys to start browsing the world wide web. Information has never really been this easy to access to everyone. My friends even used to joke around and say things like, “Why do we need to study when everything we need can be found on the internet?”. Hahaha. It is a good point, but mostly just said for humorous purposes. Haha!

I am proud to announce that phase 1 of my hydroponics experiment was a success. To give you an idea, hydroponics is a gardening method that does not make use of soil. Just water, nutrient solution and some styro cups. I started a hydroponics garden a few months ago as a science project.

Here are some of the first pictures:

This are my cherry tomatoes at week 3.  Those round thingies where the plants are growing in clay pellets and not soil.

Here are my bell peppers at week 2:

After a couple of months, I was able to harvest some of the cherry tomatoes!

Now ain’t that nice? Too bad my peppers were not able to survive.

Anyhow, in just a few months I was able to understand how fulfilling gardening is. Next I want to try raising chickens in my backyard. Initially, I plan to set up a couple of backyard chicken coops just so my neighbors do not notice. By the time the hens lay eggs, I’ll have free organic breakfast everyday.

When I was four my dad started buying a lot of musical instruments.

Apparently he wanted to start a band but he couldn’t find the right members, so he told my mom about his frustrations, and they figured they’d give teaching their kids how to play instruments a shot. I started learning how to play the guitar, my younger sisters learned the bass, the drums and the keyboard.

My dad bought a pa system and set it up at home. He made my younger sister sing and set up the effects so you can hear her voice even when the entire band plays. He got us a voice instructor so we can vocalize and reach higher octaves. The sound system we had at home was amazing, even our neighbors started flocking to our backyard just so they could hear us play.

I guess music will always be a part of my life because of this upbringing. :)

Last night’s thanksgiving was amazing. Everyone in the family came including my cousins from abroad. It has been a tradition in our family to exchange gifts on this event. However to add some fun, we decided to give give the gift giving a twist. What we did was give something that you would never expect to receive in your life. Everyone loved the idea.

Midnight came and it was time to open the gifts. Everyone was so excited because gifts are the least expected things they could possibly get. One of my cousins got a wallet. But not just any wallet. It was an authentic leather wallet made from a kangaroo’s scrotum. Cool huh?

Me? Well I got a humidor. At first I thought it was a jewelry box. But then the manual said that it was a very expensive high quality box used to store cigars. I was just… well… stunned.

But the coolest gift was received by my cousin. Everyone laughed when she opened the gift. To describe, it was a tube which has a button. When the button is pressed, it vibrated. Hahaha. It was a reflexology stick. But hey everyone thought it was a, nevermind.

It’s the season to be jolly, and we all know that families are hungry for the holiday treats that gift baskets can provide. My mom tends to procrastinate a lot so I took the initiative and looked up shops that provide quick delivery services. I’m not entirely sure which one I could get yet since I’m not really good with this Christmas shopping thing and I’m not the one who buys the baskets for friends of our families.

Do you guys have any ideas on which sites I should actually bother looking at? I’m running out of ideas.

Christmas is fun! I can’t wait to wrap presents for friends and anticipate the look in their faces when they open the gifts!

There’s only one problem with that though… WHAT PRESENTS DO I GET MY FRIENDS, AND DO I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THEM GIFTS!?

Oh nooooo!

It’s the christmas season! (Well, it is, technically, for my country, since it starts when the months end in “ber”, and the nights begin to get cold, etc etc.)

You know what I’m excited about? I’m excited about the christmas decorations, listening to christmas songs, and being able to wear jackets outside the house because it’s cold! I also cannot wait for all of the gift baskets we will be getting from our neighbors, because most of them will contain chocolates and awesome food! Teehee.

I’m preparing gifts for my friends, since I’m currently broke, I decided on giving each of them a doodle version of themselves. I’ll doodle on shirts and draw using that special cloth marker that takes a lot of time before it fades so they can wear the shirts with pride!

I dunno about you, but I really am a big fan of personalized gifts. I choose those over expensive things.

My sister has been packing up for New York since her application for a green card has now been accepted and her husband already bought tickets. I actually am a little surprised that she decided to pack earlier than the usual since she tends to procrastinate a lot. I guess that’s what going to New York gives you– a sense of change and excitement to do things. I am a little sad that they’ll be leaving us, but happy for them since they get to take the next step and open way more opportunities when they get to the big apple.

I thought of giving them a bunch of box cutters as a going away present since they brought so much stuff with them and I like giving things that would be useful for them. These things would make unpacking ten times easier, I swear, and they’re so cute and nifty to hold!

Do you have any other gift ideas for my sister and her husband? I’d really appreciate it since I’m really out of ideas at this rate and they’re leaving in two days!
