Only a few days ’til Christmas and a few days plus three ’til my Dad’s birthday. I usually give him his birthday gift in advance so that it will also serve as my Christmas gift. So right now, I am looking for great christmas gift ideas for him.

Hmm… let me see…
My Dad likes Swiss knives, laser pointers, Bluetooth headsets, NFL for Xbox, etc. However I think he has ‘em all already. The only thing I know he wants but does not have it yet is a Viper. But of course, only Randy Gage can buy that car.

Anyhow, I wonder. What if I just give him a gift certificate at Hooters? I know he’ll love that. I am just not sure if Mom would not kill me. Hmm… Think think.

Aha! I wonder if I bought him a Keg?! That way he could invite friends over and drink booze all they want. But then again, I am just not sure if Mom would not kill me.

AHA! I got it. I will just buy Mom a week long hotel accommodation. That way I give my Dad the best gift… a Hall Pass. :)

I went passed the DIY Store (not the adult shop but the hardware store) and noticed a big sign saying: “metal detectors on sale“.
I thought, why would anyone need a metal detector right?
And so I went home, unpacked my things and turned on the TV to watch the news.
“Headlines: Woman shoots Ex-Boyfriend inside a mall”. I went “what the ..”. That was the same mall I went from earlier! As expected, the mall security was blamed for this because they did not have metal detectors on each entrance to detect Firearms brought by customers.
So there’s the answer to my question “why would anyone want a metal detector”. Come to think of it, I just might consider getting one now to install in my office. I just hope it is still on sale after what happened. Ya know, higher demand from publicity.

When I was young I had all sorts of crazy dreams about jobs that I doubt anyone else considered.

I had a lot of things I wanted to accomplish when I was young and I couldn’t really pick a good job for my future self, just yet. I was greatly influenced by my parents and my siblings.

Believe it or not, I wanted to be a Metro Aid when I was four. I asked my mom what kind of job would be to sweep places all day, because apparently I was obsessed with sweeping things. She answered that, and I suddenly looked forward to being a Metro Aid.

After a short while I got bored with sweeping so I decided I’d be a nun, and then a military officer, and then take Recreational Therapist Jobs. Don’t ask, because I don’t even remember how I went there.

Well at least now I found my way, I decided on something that I really loved, the wonderful world of computers. What kind of crazy dreams did you have when you were young?

I have been looking for a Tablet for the longest time. I recently started drawing for my friends at the moment since I figured that I needed to start practicing before I actually doodled on my bedroom walls. I intend to fill my bedroom walls with doodles of me and the things I love, to commemorate this time of year, and all of the experiences I’ve had with it.

I don’t know why I chose this year specifically, but I think it’s a good choice, so far. My friends always told me that I had this talent for making doodles, I normally drew random things that come to mind when I am passing time, and whenever someone would pass by they’d compliment my drawings.

Do you have any specific brands to recommend? I don’t really have a lot of friends that draw.. I’d greatly appreciate your help.

My mom keeps all her house plaques and mug collection in this little shelf near our dining room. Whenever I’m bored and I don’t feel like listening to the dinner conversations I’d look at the shelf and count how many plaques and mugs she has. Right up until now, I still do not have a definite count for all of the mugs and plaques, they change everytime I count them, for some reason.

I guess I just fail at counting. Haha!

I didn’t even realize that she has a lot of awards in the military when she got a present from her office before she retired. They put miniature versions of the awards that she got while she was in service, and it was a lot, I tell you.

I don’t have a lot of awards, but I hope to get some that are worthy of being displayed at home soon enough.

Since we’re on the topic of tornadoes and preparing for them, I’m a bit worried about Irene and the effect it gave on people in the United States.

How common are tornado shelters in there? How do people prepare for tornadoes? I’m at a loss because I don’t believe we’ve ever had tornadoes here in my country. The worst thing we’d get would be typhoons and tropical storms.

And we’d prepare for those by buying groceries that would last for two months and buy candles, flashlights and batteries.

I’ve seen some funny experiences on television regarding the aftermath of these typhoons. People drove straight into the flooded areas and then face palm after they realize that their car is sinking into the water. They would rage at police officers right after and blame them for their stupidity.

It really is better to be prepared than to be scared, don’t you think?

The best thing about quality kitchen equipment is that they live long. I mean, sure they are expensive if you buy them brand new, but they will last for a very long time even if you use them every day. I think of them as investments, that is because I am planning to build a restaurant business someday.

However as I have said, these equipment are insanely expensive. A single quality chef’s knife, for example, could cost you as high as 200 bucks. Good thing there is a cheaper way to get quality equipment at a very low price – By getting them in second hand stores.

Used commercial kitchen equipment are sold almost everywhere. These equipment have been used commercially by establishments but most of them still look brand new. I recently bought an entire kitchen utensil set for a third its price on the mall. It was a branded kitchenware set used by five star restaurants. When I first laid my eyes on them, I instantly fell in love. Now they belong in my kitchen and everyone who goes there always check them out.
