As of today, I have 2 netbooks, a tablet PC, an iPhone 4 and oh, an Amazon Kindle. I basically have it all, the latest technologies I mean. I admit I am a gadget freak. Whenever I see anything with an LCD and a Wifi symbol, I just want to buy it. These gadgets can play music, connect to the internet, play movies. Their capabilities are endless. However, recently, I just feel bored with all these techie stuff I have.

I just want to go back to the basics. Sure, my iPhone has so may features, but in everyday situation, I do not even use those features. All I need is a phone which can send messages and make calls. So now, I am planning to get a Motorola Xoom. Keeping it simple will rid me of the technical stuff with the iPhone.

Oh well, sorry. I think today is just one of those days when I feel like crap. Yep, for no reason at all. Blame my hormones.

I was recently offered a life insurance with a funeral arrangements package. At first I thought it was a joke. Life insurance will surely help your dependents financially in case something unfortunate happen to you, but funeral arrangements?!

I did not take the agent seriously until he made me realize that this could be a lot of help in the future. We all come back to the ground one way or the other. It is just a matter of who goes first. If it is your time or not. Insurance usually give a large amount of money to your loved ones when you pass away. As he explains, the insurance money does not come fast. Usually families are left financially broke to even handle the cost of the burial. so this is when the package comes in. The insurance the agent offers makes you prepare for your own burial so that your family will not have that problem anymore. It may seem harsh but it is just logical. Hmm… what do you think?

There are situations where I am feeling so stressed and tired that I feel that I have exhausted all the words that it can utter. I just want to shut up. Keep silent and rest my mind. Like today, I just experienced something that made me feel that way again.

I was in a tight and desperate situation earlier. I did not know what to do. I am broke yet I must spend on some things which are necessary. But then a friend called me up stopping me from what I am supposed to do. I did not see it coming. Basically I needed to do something badly and I did not want anyone to stand on my way. But he did.

After the incident, I did not know what to day. I just want to keep silent. I can not think of anything to talk about nor do I think it is even necessary to talk. I do not feel anger, nor do I feel hatred. I guess, what I felt really was disappointment. Imagine paying for 5th wheel insurance for half of your life then hearing that the company went bankrupt at the time you needed the money. It is just sad. Oh well, I do not think I am making any sense.

I am such a sleepy head. Earlier while I was posting new Job advertisements on the net, I literally fell asleep. I am not sure if my boss saw me or not but for a moment I thought that it was going to be the end of my career. After that quick power nap I felt refreshed. Until one of my officemates asked me… “why is our ad posted under airport jobs“? I was just stunned. I did not remember submitting my ads under the airport category. I must have been “sleep-working”.

After I corrected my error, I asked permission to go home and rest. I had a rough night yesterday so I really needed some sleep. Good thing my boss was considerate enough to let me go home and rest (and work on Saturday to replace my lost hours).

My friendly neighbor woke me up at eight just to inform me that I had my panty liners scattered all over the block. I was still feeling last night’s tequila party so I was not really sure if it was a dream or not. When I went out of the house and saw a trail of trash from my house to across the street. It was humiliating to see my personal trash scattered everywhere.

The culprit, a stray dog. It turned out that the dog managed to push my trashcan down and dragged the garbage bag across the block. Oh well, all I could do is hide inside the house until the street sweeper cleans the street. Because of this, I will definitely get a heavy steel drum as my new trashcan. This way, the stray dog would not be able to easily push it down. Oh and I intend to attach a C4 bomb just in case the dog still manages to scatter the trash.

Last night, I attended our company christmas party. It was held on a large covered area in a park near the office. It was the worst party I have ever attended.

Why? Well first off, the party was themed “Flock by friends” so everyone was requested to wear costumes that would show their team’s real personality. Since our team are very much into sports, we have decided to wear nba shirts just for fun. I haven’t worn my jersey since college so good thing it still fit me. Anyway, only our team was in costume. Others did not bother to join the contest.

Then the food. It was the worst food I have ever tasted (after my uncle’s truffle dish). It was so bad that there were leftovers on every plate on our table. It was just plain disappointing.

Then the raffle took place. On every big party, prizes are at stake to keep the audience from leaving the party before the intended time. On the ads that they emailed to all employees, they said that there were a lot of prizes and that they were really expensive. In reality, they gave away a handful of five dollar gift certificates from Gonuts. For a company with five thousand employees that was relatively cheap.

Oh well… I could not do anything about that anyway. Although I really regret staying out late just for a stupid party.

If you regularly watch ER, Grey’s Anatomy, Scrubs, or any hospital related series, you’ll probably notice that all the hospitals looked just the same. Nothing interesting right? Just a dull looking building with lots of bloody people inside. The newly opened hospital near our company however was quite amazing. It looked like an Area 51 laboratory. Everything seemed so modern. From the desks to the machines, everything was new. What’s amazing is that they have a medical cart in each room, so emergency cases can be accommodated even in a private room! By the way I went there to get a check up because I recently am experiencing blinding headaches and back pains. I got a CT scan and the result has not been released yet. OH MY GOSH I HAVE A TUMOR! hehe, kidding. I probably have some sort of blood pressure problem of some sort.
