It’s the season to be jolly, and we all know that families are hungry for the holiday treats that gift baskets can provide. My mom tends to procrastinate a lot so I took the initiative and looked up shops that provide quick delivery services. I’m not entirely sure which one I could get yet since I’m not really good with this Christmas shopping thing and I’m not the one who buys the baskets for friends of our families.

Do you guys have any ideas on which sites I should actually bother looking at? I’m running out of ideas.

Christmas is fun! I can’t wait to wrap presents for friends and anticipate the look in their faces when they open the gifts!

There’s only one problem with that though… WHAT PRESENTS DO I GET MY FRIENDS, AND DO I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THEM GIFTS!?

Oh nooooo!

When I was young I had all sorts of crazy dreams about jobs that I doubt anyone else considered.

I had a lot of things I wanted to accomplish when I was young and I couldn’t really pick a good job for my future self, just yet. I was greatly influenced by my parents and my siblings.

Believe it or not, I wanted to be a Metro Aid when I was four. I asked my mom what kind of job would be to sweep places all day, because apparently I was obsessed with sweeping things. She answered that, and I suddenly looked forward to being a Metro Aid.

After a short while I got bored with sweeping so I decided I’d be a nun, and then a military officer, and then take Recreational Therapist Jobs. Don’t ask, because I don’t even remember how I went there.

Well at least now I found my way, I decided on something that I really loved, the wonderful world of computers. What kind of crazy dreams did you have when you were young?

Organizing a wedding is very stressful. Perfect planning and execution is essential to make it all work. Of course, to do this you have to consider everything – weather forecasts, budget, health, preferred music, themes, etc. However at the event itself, you will realize that there were always some things you forgot to consider. Anything from “one of the band members died” or the “catering service will not be able to make it”. Some things are just beyond your control.

Sorry for ranting. This actually happened before when a friend of mine asked me to organize her wedding. I wanted it to be perfect but then it turned out to be a mess. It was a fun mess though although not what I expected. I remembered that I even hired an artist to hand paint all the bridal shower invitations and they ended up twenty invites short. Oh well… I learned my lesson – next time, just organize a stag party instead of a wedding.

Whoa, I did not realize that the summer days are over. No more beach parties, no more mountain trekking and especially no more mini skirts. It is time to prep up for the rainy season.

I made a list of things I need on the rainy days: umbrella, rechargeable lights and electric fan, matches, candles, first aid kit, sweater, rain coat and a lot of boxes of canned food and Swiss Miss chocolate. Also, in preparation for the winter season, which is only three months from now, I am saving up for electric grills. Nope not for barbeque, but for use on the furnace.

I will miss the summer. I had a great couple of months with my friends and family. However I have been looking forward to the rainy days for me to stay at home and do some personal improvements like reading books and working on my crafts.

Just for you to know, I took the IT degree because I love working planned ahead. IT project usually have a strict timeline so I value time so much. If there’s one thing I hate so much about other people, it is their inconsideration about other people’s time.

I was in the supermarket earlier at 10 am to get some groceries for the week. I usually do this before I go to the office because it is on the way. I went in, pulled out my list, got the items then went straight to the cashier. The cashier was talking to the bagger boy and did not even greet me. They were obviously chatting about gossip and they were quite relaxed. It is like I was not a customer waiting.

I was furious so I said “could you please hurry up?”. She said, “hold on please”. So, mad as I was, I left my grocery in the cashier and went to find the store’s general manager. I told him, “Good morning sir, could you kindly help me checkout my items, your attendant seems to be engaged in an important chat”.

Embarrassed, the manager stood up, and went to the cashier. In front of me he scolded the bagger and the cashier and gave them a week’s suspension. I was also given some discount stubs as a token of apology.

I went out the store, with a “despicable me” grin. That is what happens when people waste my time.

So this is how it feels to be the object of jealousy. Yeah well, I may be just exaggerating right now but I really feel that everyone in my office hates me right now.

Here’s what happened: A couple of weeks ago, one of our biggest clients paid us a personal visit at the office to see how the project is doing. The project, which was assigned to our team, was well received. Because of this, the client promised the team that they would give more projects to us because of the way we handled things. To keep things short, they were happy.

On that same week the client gave the team a dinner treat and sort of promised us that they would invite all of us at their site in NY. Everyone became so excited.

So here’s where my problem comes in. Earlier today, my boss announced that he received an email from that client and that they are inviting ME to visit NY. My boss even bragged that it was an all expense trip with accommodations from luxury new york city hotels. At an instant it felt awkward. I know the team wants to go there so badly yet I was the only one invited. I am supposed to feel happy right? But I definitely am not. No I am not so sure if I must accept the invite or not.

Just read the news this morning. Summer will be officially up two weeks from now. Time to cram and shape up for the beach. Oh by the way, earlier I tried these indoor tanning lotions my friend gave to me last Christmas. She knows I love tan skin but I am paranoid about sun bathing because of skin cancer. It really worked for me. However, I forgot that I have a presentation two days from now and looking tan in the office will surely attract more audience or more appropriately perverted office colleagues. Hehehe.

Oh well… I guess I’ll just wear slacks and a blazer then to keep away those pervs. Oh the reason why I am paranoid about skin cancer is because it it in my genes. Two of my aunts died because of lung cancer which originated from skin cancer. My mom said it usually starts as a tiny mole, but then shit happens and they get cancer.
