Yep, you’re reading it right. A simple toothpaste switch eliminated my chin acne. You see, ever since I hit puberty, I’ve been having severe acne on my chin. It’s quite irritating because there will be days where my entire face is cleared up from people except for my chin.

For the longest time now, I’ve been hunting for the best treatment for acne on the chin. It turns out that all I have to do is find what’s causing it, why it’s causing it, and how to deal with it. It was my colleague who suggested that I try switching toothpaste and see what happens. You see, there are some toothpaste brands that have very strong chemicals which can irritate your skin. More often than not, those brands that promise a lot of benefits are the ones that are really harmful.

So for those who are experiencing recurring chin acne, try switching toothpaste, and let me know if it works for you. ^_^

What would you do if you just had a heart attack and could only work for two hours a day?

What about two hours a week?

I’ve just finished reading The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss, which was highly recommended by my very rich friend Nancy. After coming across those questions in the book, I knew the answer was simple – I need to start eliminating everything I don’t need. And no, having disability insurance will not suffice (although it’s a plus of course).

The book also talks about mini-retirements and how to become the New Rich – my ultimate goals (well not really ultimate, just near ultimate. My ultimate goal is to love, and be loved). I was actually very surprised to encounter all the questions that have been looming on my mind near at the end of the book. You’d be insane not to want to have a 4-hour work week after reading those. And yes, it IS possible to just work less and earn more. You simply just have to DO IT – follow the steps in the book.

I must admit that I’ve been unconsciously doing that for the longest time now – eliminating useless or unnecessary tasks. But the process and tips in the book is very practical and easily applicable. In fact, given enough time, I just may be on my way to making my 5-days work week to just 3-days work week! I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Don’t we just love to take pictures? May it be weddings, birthdays, or just simple everyday hangouts with friends, pictures make it possible to preserve the good memories for a lifetime. Today’s digital cameras allow us to take unlimited number of pictures unlike the film cameras of the 90’s. However, we often save the files in our PC without organizing, leaving our hard drives cluttered with files.

I spent the whole evening trying to organize my picture files from my old PC. The problem is I have tons of pictures that have no labels whatsoever. Even so, some pics are duplicated making the problem worse. What I did was manually view the pictures before I store them in a separate directory.

In summary, here are tips (I learned the hard way) for organizing your picture files:

Most important: always set your camera’s date settings correctly – this will make the whole process easier. With this, you will be able to arrange the files by date so there’s no worry about missing any pictures.

Label your directories – be creative. Don’t just label the directory using the date, otherwise it’s just useless. Give it a brief description and make it unique.

Use a temp directory for new files – don’t paste your new files right away. Whenever you filled up your camera’s memory card, copy its contents to a temporary directory. When you have spare time, copy the files to their new directory and delete them from temp. This way, you make sure that all files are backed up and nothing is lost or duplicated.

Lastly, do backups – backing up files are very important, because you’ll never know when your PC will break down. I personally do multiple backups of my important files. You can save your data in hard portable hard drives or burn them in DVD. Alternatively, you can upload them in online backup sites in the net (just make sure that your files are password encrypted.
