I unexpectedly received a call from one of my friends who’s based in UK – Eberlyn. Knowing that I’m into internet marketing, she asked me if I could help her out in her business plan. The thing is, according to her, people there are in need of some serious, durable protective clothing since most of the ones in the stores are fashionable yet flimsy. She wants to be able to create clothing that’s more tear-resistant type – one that can withstand harsh and changing conditions.

I find her idea quite promising. I was honest with her though and told her that my specialty is online and I can help her out with that. But with regards to marketing offline, that would be her call. She was ecstatic about my enthusiasm and told me she’ll email me the details so I can review it and give her my recommendations. Will keep you posted. ;)

I’ve been wondering, how do you get rid of dark under eye circles? Lately I’ve been working long hours. For whatever reason, life decided to throw me curve ball and now I work the night shift for people that don’t pay me nearly enough. This is probably the cause for the resutling dark under eye circles that have made me look like a sleep-deprived raccoon.

I’ve read somewhere that a good technique for dark under eye circles is to place refrigerated tea-bags over your eyes overnight because it absorbs the salt deposits that your eyes produce as a result of too much strain. I’ll look pathetic when doing it, but by God if I don’t look pathetic already. The eyes after all, are the windows to your soul. If my windows look like they survived World War II then what do you think that will say about my soul? I’ve got a good soul – these dark under eye circles have got to go.

I recently attended my friend’s garden wedding in this really heavenly place - much better than the one in Reese Witherspoon’s Just Like Heaven movie. It was an intimate wedding consisting of just around 25 people.

Since the group was just small, there was a sort of get-to-know-the-guests introduction-and-message portion wherein each guests answers the , “How are you related to the Bride/Groom?” followed by, “What is your message to the newlywed?” During that part, I was amazed to find out that the one beside the groom was actually his mom. She looked like she’s merely in her thirty’s!

I approached her after the toasts, complimented her gorgeous appearance, and asked how she maintained that look and if she could recommend some top rated wrinkle cream to achieve that look. She laughed and simply said “It’s in the genes.”

It was my friend JC’s wedding yesterday. I’ve been excited about it to the point that I booked my sister as my hair and makeup stylist since I learned about the proposal last year. My friend and I even helped him arrange the wedding.

Then again, there are some things you really cannot control.

On the day of the wedding, July 11th, my sister went home at 8:30 a.m. and told me to hurry and fix myself up so she can start styling me because she has an appointment at 10 a.m. I was aghast. It will take me an hour to take a bath and at least 10 more minutes to dry my hair!

Furious but left with no choice, I told her I don’t want to get stressed and be pressured into hurrying up; otherwise, I might end up shaving my skin off while having an agitated bath. Not wanting to ruin one of my most awaited days this 2009, with my right fist clenched at my back, I asked her to just go to her appointment and I’ll figure something out. My left hand’s fingers were crossed though, hoping she’ll prioritize me over her appointment.

After taking a bath, still with fingers crossed, I went down, looked for my sister, and found that she DID go to her other appointment. Devastated, I immediately grabbed our car keys and went out of our village to go hunt for a salon. I was lucky because I immediately saw a renowned salon near our village gate, just beside a huge surplus shop. *whew* To cap it off, I ended up looking way more pretty than expected – at a price of course. But then again, it takes pain (and sometimes a lot of dough from your pocket) to be beautiful, especially if you want it instant.

Oh well, there goes my silver lining. ^_^

I used to think that accessorizing is a waste of time and money. That is, every morning, selecting which accessories goes with your clothes eats up a lot of your time. Also, when you go to malls, the money you spend on those accessories, if pooled together, can actually amount to a substantial savings. Well, maybe I am exaggerating a bit…

I changed my outlook with accessories when I watched a lifestyle program tackling the importance of accessorizing and where to get wholesale fashion jewelry. Simple clothes can look elegant with the right jewelry. Also, with a simple mix and match, you can get a sophisticated, classic, simple, or just smart-casual look. You no longer need to buy expensive dresses just to have your desired effect.

Buying accessories is actually more of an investment and you need not have a chest full of frostings. All you need are the basics like a watch, pearl earrings and necklace, simple jewelries with nicely cut diamonds, dangling silver earrings, classic black belt… mix and match them and you’ll have a great effect – timelessly stylish.
