My friend Rei recently got married, and no, it’s not a gunshot wedding – she’s not pregnant. It was a happy-romantic wedding. ^_^

With the couple being very career oriented, Rei told me, they have no plans on having kids for the next two years. Given that she’s only 25, it does seem practical. However, even with thorough planning and a combination of safe sex methods, pregnancy is still a possibility – especially for a newlywed couple. So, just to be on the safe side, I told her to start taking a daily prenatal vitamin.

For those who don’t know, prenatal vitamins are specially formulated multivitamins that is designed with pregnancy and breastfeeding in mind. While the supplements contain numerous vitamins and minerals, their folic acid, iron, and calcium content are especially important. These vitamins and minerals help reduce your risk of having a baby with a serious birth defect since a lot of defects develop in the first 28 days after conception – the time before many women realize they are pregnant.

So for the newlyweds, do consider prenatal vitamins at the onset of marriage. 0;) After all, you want to reproduce healthy, adorable babies, don’t you?

Last night’s thanksgiving was amazing. Everyone in the family came including my cousins from abroad. It has been a tradition in our family to exchange gifts on this event. However to add some fun, we decided to give give the gift giving a twist. What we did was give something that you would never expect to receive in your life. Everyone loved the idea.

Midnight came and it was time to open the gifts. Everyone was so excited because gifts are the least expected things they could possibly get. One of my cousins got a wallet. But not just any wallet. It was an authentic leather wallet made from a kangaroo’s scrotum. Cool huh?

Me? Well I got a humidor. At first I thought it was a jewelry box. But then the manual said that it was a very expensive high quality box used to store cigars. I was just… well… stunned.

But the coolest gift was received by my cousin. Everyone laughed when she opened the gift. To describe, it was a tube which has a button. When the button is pressed, it vibrated. Hahaha. It was a reflexology stick. But hey everyone thought it was a, nevermind.

Calling all shop-a-holics! Get ready with your Paypal passwords ‘coz now is the best time to buy online in buy.com! Don’t be surprised to see items with just half the original price. They are really giving away a shopping spree for this month. Unfortunately, the sale is only until supplies last.

Just take a look at their weekly deals! Everything is almost half the price already. Actually, right now I am about to check out my cart. I bought a 22 inch Samsung LCD Monitor for just 139.00 bucks. Honestly, I have no use for it yet. Just thought that it can be handy once I get my Netbook repaired.

Anyhow, there are plenty of gadgets to choose from. I hope you guys find what you are looking for. Just a tip: If you find items which are insanely cheap, go buy them! Even if you do not intend to use them right away. Kidding :)
