After a relaxing week in Davao, I’m back in my loft sorting the stuff I took home from the trip. I’m still on vacation so I can still relax and adjust to reality. Davaois such a paradise. I have never seen so much nature jammed up in one small island. Everything was perfect; the tropical climate, the beaches, the people, and of course the food.

I bought some interesting stuff there like strawberry jam, pineapple candies, ube ketchup, mango shampoo (okay, I made up the shampoo, but the ketchup was serious). I also bought bedsheets and outdoor cushions which were hand made. If only I had more time to shop there I could have bought more. Anyhow, I’ll post my pictures later.

Ever since I got my new E75, I only kept it in the drawer. I did not want to use it yet because it was very shiny. I was afraid of scratching it (haha, OCD). A friend suggested that I buy a screen protector for it so I went to the mall to find one. The problem was, the stores did not seem to have the exact size for my phone. So what I did was buy the biggest size.

At home, I measured my phone and cut the screen protector with a box cutter. This is just simple, the tricky part is how to stick it on the phone. I was able to make two protectors from the big one. In my first attempt, bubbles formed after sticking the protector on the screen. My bad, I was too excited to read the manual. haha. Fortunately I had a spare.

And so now I’m a proud user of an E75. But i’m still worried of dropping it. Oh well, it’s just a matter of positive thinking…

It seems that my weight loss diet is finally working. That is, after three weeks of cranberry juice and all green diet. At first it was hard because I was very used to salty, fatty food. I experienced hyper acidity because of the fruit juices. Also, I had acne breakouts – my doctor said that it was part of the body’s natural cleansing process. but after a few days, I got used to it. Now I lost twenty pounds already and I feel really energetic. I no longer experience that bloated feeling, neither do I feel easily tired.

I guess the struggle really paid off. There were lots of parties I did not attend because of this diet and fortunately it paid of. Now I’m planning to continue this diet. This is probably the best achievement that ever had for myself. And I am really very proud of it.

For anyone who has an extra LCD monitor and an external hard drive at home, read on…
I bought a new WDTV media player (google it) just recently as suggested by a friend of mine. What is it? Well, it basically turns your LCD and external hard drive into a high-definition movie player. Just attach a USB drive then plug it to your LCD’s HDMI port then voila! That is, assuming you have movies stored in your drive of course.

For just 99 usd, this gadget is a bang for the buck. It has a very elegant menu and user-friendly interface. Plus it’s under warranty for 2 years (excellent customer support too). It not only plays movies, it also does slideshow of pictures while playing your favourite music files. Don’t get me wrong, this is no gadget review. This post is for bragging. Wahahaha. I really love this product.

For the first time since my HSBC Red Mastercard was activated, I saw my billing statement at zero (0) balance this August! I would like to thank my Nth Level Friend and Executive Secretary for Finance, Mark, for making this possible. ^_^

With zero (0) balance comes great responsibility… and 10 times more will power on not to swipe it. Hehehe. Now that I’m almost debt free, I’m actually thinking of availing some term insurance (I terminated my old insurance just so I could use the money to pay off my credit card debt). Then again, I think I’ll use my initial savings first to pamper myself by going to Japan. After all, I already have a place to stay there so all I need to pay for is just the air fare. Or maybe I can finally fulfill my since-high-school dream – go to an Asian Cruise! What do you think?

The employees had been very fond of the XBox game “Rock Band” so the company set up a gaming room in the office. Work-related stress can really turn the product quality down so playing games in the office (during free time) is permitted. Today we opened the much anticipated gaming room and the management, I included, was of course first to play! All employees took turns in playing and everyone was accommodated. Everyone enjoyed playing and became happier to do their job. I have never seen the company so lively until now.

The CEO was skeptical about the idea at first because he thought that the employees will lose focus in their work but after seeing the employees united and happy about some simple game, the idea was happily welcomed. In any company, it is important to maintain the employees’ high morale so that they could provide quality work. Our company treats employees as our primary asset so we try to keep them happy for our benefit.

Again, my shop-a-holic instincts were uncontrollable. I can’t believe I already spent half of my midyear bonus after only two days! Last Friday I was looking for new tiles for my kitchen when I saw this beautiful kitchen set on discount. I was planning to get my kitchen renovated but since I instantly fell in love with the displayed kitchen set, I decided to buy it. Yeah, just like that.

It was a good buy actually; I got it for a much lower price than the discounted price (begged for a bigger discount). What I liked about the kitchen is that it is so simple yet easy to maintain and fully functional. The cabinets are made of aluminum instead of the traditional pest breeding plywood. Also, Instead of those hard to clean tiles and grout, it had metal tiles and a stainless steel backsplash. Now I won’t have to worry of staining the kitchen or even burning it. Hmm… I guess I’ll call my friends for a bragging party now!
