Gardens always are a pretty sight to see in anyone’s home. Usually, people want their gardens to have lots of colorful flowers and ferns. I, on the other hand, prefer gardens with less or no flowers at all. Just like the Japanese style gardens - lots of Bonsai trees, pebbled walkways, and ponds with ornamental fishes.

I’m planning to do some makeover on my garden at home to finally have my dream Japanese style garden. So far, I have already collected so many bonsai trees since last year. I even bought some outdoor garden lighting to make my garden pretty even at night.

All I need now is someone who can implement my designs. Probably someone who is an expert in building ponds too, ‘coz I really love ponds. If i complete this project, it will be the biggest home makeover project I’ve done yet.

I’m so happy! My friend who recently searched for work at jobs philly informed me that there are lots of companies out there looking for someone like me that’s offering twice the salary I’m currently earning. ^_^

Now all I have to do is update my online resumes and start sending those companies my application! If all goes well, I’ll finally be able to move to a 3-bedroom apartment with my friends and even have enough cash to sustain my monthly Yoga classes. Plus, I might just reach my target savings by next year!

Life just keeps getting better if you stay positive!

Early this morning, I received an email saying “surprise wedding invitation” from Jen, a friend of mine whom I’ve never seen for two years. Yes we still contact each other through emails and chat, but she had never told me any plans on getting married. To my excitement, I asked my boss to give me the day off and fortunately he allowed me, in exchange for a Saturday work of course. I called my friend and met in a coffee shop to warm things up.

We talked about a lot of things, including the reason why she is getting married. She and her boyfriend have been living together for years and last week, she found out that she was pregnant at last. She never thought that it would be possible because her OB told her that she has only a small chance of being pregnant because of some hormonal problems. So this one is a sort of miracle for her.

Anyhow, after coffee, I went with her to the mall to look for wedding rings. We found the best one for the lowest price. It was a pair of wedding rings with several certified diamonds. She paid the down payment for the ring then we headed to the bridal shop for the wedding gown. We still haven’t found a gown that she liked so I suggested getting it custom made. She agreed. To my surprise, she gave me the invitation card and I saw my name in one of the bridesmaids! I was so happy at the same time pressured - ‘coz this means I’ll have to trim my figure fast.

Guess what?! I WON THE RAFFLE!!!
Earlier I attended a fund raising exhibit about the newest tech gadgets soon to be released in the market. The event was sponsored by top PC manufacturers to showcase their newest line of computer products. The exhibit was more like the E3 convention but better…

Yep. I just said that the exhibit I attended was way better because they are giving away freebies (and lots more freebies!). Of course there was an entrance fee but I did not mind because my company sponsored me to attend.

Oh, did I already mentioned that I won a 500 gig flash drive? You heard me right! I was just so damn lucky today. I got some cool stuff like organizers and CD’s, plus I won the raffle! I still can’t believe it is all real. Now I won’t have to use my office PC just to backup my music files plus I have a new gadget to brag about to my friends. Hehe.

Yesterday was a dream come true for me. I finally got the chance to ride a real horse! This horse is not just the ordinary pony you see in carnivals, this horse is a full bread, top of the line, super horse! Hahaha. I do not really know what words to describe a horse, but I guess the owner’s status can speak for it.

The horse’s name is El Rico, I think he was named after the owner’s favorite singer (don’t ask). Anyhow, the owner, is an equestrian and a veterinarian whom I met in Toastmasters. He invited me to watch him play Polo with his colleagues. I was not doing anything much at home so what the heck, I grabbed my coat and drove to the venue. After the game, he asked me to try riding El Rico. It was fun, but I was not that comfortable because I was not wearing breeches. It was worth the experience and I can’t wait to try it again next time.

After a relaxing week in Davao, I’m back in my loft sorting the stuff I took home from the trip. I’m still on vacation so I can still relax and adjust to reality. Davaois such a paradise. I have never seen so much nature jammed up in one small island. Everything was perfect; the tropical climate, the beaches, the people, and of course the food.

I bought some interesting stuff there like strawberry jam, pineapple candies, ube ketchup, mango shampoo (okay, I made up the shampoo, but the ketchup was serious). I also bought bedsheets and outdoor cushions which were hand made. If only I had more time to shop there I could have bought more. Anyhow, I’ll post my pictures later.

Ever since I got my new E75, I only kept it in the drawer. I did not want to use it yet because it was very shiny. I was afraid of scratching it (haha, OCD). A friend suggested that I buy a screen protector for it so I went to the mall to find one. The problem was, the stores did not seem to have the exact size for my phone. So what I did was buy the biggest size.

At home, I measured my phone and cut the screen protector with a box cutter. This is just simple, the tricky part is how to stick it on the phone. I was able to make two protectors from the big one. In my first attempt, bubbles formed after sticking the protector on the screen. My bad, I was too excited to read the manual. haha. Fortunately I had a spare.

And so now I’m a proud user of an E75. But i’m still worried of dropping it. Oh well, it’s just a matter of positive thinking…
