I recently had a chance to speak with one of my long lost friends because of network marketing. As I was creating Facebook and Twitter accounts for my MLM business, I came across this website selling pet supplies. I got curious so I browsed the site thinking that I might find discounts on kennel, my dog’s favorite food.

To my surprise, upon calling the number to inquire, her name showed up on my phone. It was my friend from college who I haven’t seen for a very very long time. We had a quick chat and scheduled a meet.

And so this morning I met her at Starbucks. We met at 6 am imagine that. She had her work at 9 so we had to meet early. Besides, we were very excited to talk about everything we missed out.

And so it turns out that she is doing the pet store business for a long time now and things are doing well. However she mentioned that she, despite her good income, is still looking for wealth opportunities. Opportunities that could make her wealthy. Opportunities that could give her additional income.

The unexpected thing happened. After the meeting I was able to sponsor her into my business and she was very glad. Amazing.

Last night I could not sleep because my credit card bill was due this week. I bought a moisture analyzer that was not in my budget. Although I really felt the need for it. This is the first time that I will pay only the minimum. Never in my life have I paid for financial charge in all my credit cards.

This got me thinking… What did I do wrong?

From childhood I have been a good kid. Followed everything my parents taught me.
“Be a good person…”
“Study hard to have good grades…”
“Go to college and work in a big company like IBM or GM…”

So why am I now paying only the minimum? I already have a good career in my company yet I still find myself struggling to survive days before my next paycheck.

While reflecting I remembered the magazine my friend gave me a few days back. It had an article about what billionaires have in common. So I read it hoping that it would bore me to sleep.

What do all billionaires have in common?

Here’s one: They all had dreams. Dreams fuel your desire to succeed. Dreams motivate you to act during times of stress.
Next? They never forget to count their blessings. They appreciate what they have and what they are getting.
Next? They never settle. They believe that dissatisfaction is divine. Something God gave us as humans.
Finally, all of them built networks. Not one of them got rich by themselves.

What happened was, I was not able to sleep. I suddenly felt the excitement. Guess what happened next? Yes, I built my dream book. My fuel to act to succeed.

Hong Kong is regarded as the Culinary Capital of Asia. I went there with a friend a couple of weeks ago and man! It was just… amazing. The HK Airport was huge, the streets were clean and the people are all in a hurry. I am not very fond of Hong Kong before because a friend of mine told me not so good stories about it. But hey, stories are biased right?

Anyhow, one thing I noticed in Hong Kong is that, THERE ARE NO FATTIES. No offense meant to gravity challenged people. The only fat guy I saw there is a British tourist. So as I mentioned earlier, Culinary Capital. Hong Kong really has great food. Also huge servings. So why don’t people get fat? After a couple of days there I realized, it was because of exercise.

Yes. Every place you go to requires you to walk. Yes you can ride a cab but it is expensive. Also, if you ride the bus, you need to pay the whole route. I think walking regularly for long distances can really be a great workout. Oh one thing I noticed too, women there have great looking legs. Yes, they usually dress up showing off their legs. No varicose veins, no nothing. Just great looking legs. I actually were jealous. My friend and I talked about it and remembered that once we wanted to try a product we read from slimvox reviews but now we realize, if you want to be slim and healthy, just go to Hong Kong and live there for a couple of months.

In my line of work, collaboration with clients online is very important. Although I am very happy with Google in terms of email handling and task delegating via Gmail, spreadsheet sharing via Google Doc, and scheduling via Google Calendar, I still need a good audio conferencing services provider. You see, we deal with at least 20 clients in a day with different requirements. Given that we are mostly consulting on the technical aspect of their websites, it would help a lot of we not only get to talk with them online, but also do video conferencing and record everything for documentation and billing.

If you know of a good online conferencing service with features like sub-conferencing, digital recording and online participant viewing (I’m happy with Camtasia as well but for some reason, it does not support recordings for MAC), then please recommend. I’ll be forever in your debt.

I like watching 2 broke girls on tv.

It’s cute, really, the plot of the show is that a rich girl ends up being stripped off of her wealth because her father turned out to be a fraud and she’s living the life of a normal person and adjusting bit by it.

What I love about this is the certain episode where she discovers the wonderful world of coupons and the inhuman discounts that they provide. She ended up forcing her newfound room mate / friend to go shopping with her to the market and collecting all of the coupons from the newspaper stands.

I personally like coupons for personal creations and discount coupons for food on classy restaurants, but they rarely ever do that anymore. Haha.

The coupon queen fight on that episode was just plain brilliant.

Do you often use coupons? What shop and are the discounts worth it? Share it with us, we promise we won’t steal your coupons so much! Haha.

My dad has been wanting to buy my sisters and I a tascam mixers so we can practice playing our songs at home instead of renting a studio and spending a lot of money for the transportation and risk ruining our instruments in the process of going there.

He’s been on a really happy mood lately, I suppose seeing my sisters and I play again after eight years made him smile and reminisce about the old times, when we were still little and played in various places and got featured on tv and on the newspaper.

It was nice, really, to reminisce and remember all of those good times.

I just wish we weren’t so busy that we don’t have time to have fun like this.

Don’t forget the little things that make you happy, for they will be the things that will keep you sane in the end. :)

A couple of weeks ago, I experienced some pain on my right knee. At first I just ignored it but after several days the pain aggravated. So I went to a Physician to have my knee checked.

In the clinic, an nurse came to me to assist me in the MRI room. The nurse was smiling at me over the medication carts when I saw her. I initially thought that she was just friendly until I realized that she was a classmate of mine in elementary. Yep, such a pretty long time ago. Lizzy, her name, knew me because she had my records. Anyhow, we agreed to catch up sometime soon.

Going back to my knee, it turned out that I have gout. Uric acid crystal deposits on my knee joints caused the pain. Initially I am to have some medications and undergo therapy. However if that does not work, I might need to have a surgery.
