Acne is one problem I never want to have again. This had been an issue for me back in the high school days. My face had so many pimples that I even had pimples on my pimples. Yes it is that worse. And one more thing I remember, I had only one side of the face infected! Weird huh. I actually looked like Two-face.

Now, I am thankful that those good old days are over. How was I able to solve the problem? Well, I took a lot of creams, ointments, pills nothing worked. One day, my Granma approached me and told me the secret acne remedy that she used when she had the same problem. Take a wild guess?

Lemon juice, carrots, and honey – I had to take this for over a month three times a day. Yep, it definitely worked for me. Come to think of it, there’s nothing special about this remedy. However I never really drink lemon juice or carrots before. It seems like my Granma figured out what was lacking in my diet.

And so after a couple of weeks, my pimples subsided but it took six months for all the acne scars to fade out. The lesson of the story is basically – healthy eating leads to healthy looking skin.

Whoa, I did not realize that the summer days are over. No more beach parties, no more mountain trekking and especially no more mini skirts. It is time to prep up for the rainy season.

I made a list of things I need on the rainy days: umbrella, rechargeable lights and electric fan, matches, candles, first aid kit, sweater, rain coat and a lot of boxes of canned food and Swiss Miss chocolate. Also, in preparation for the winter season, which is only three months from now, I am saving up for electric grills. Nope not for barbeque, but for use on the furnace.

I will miss the summer. I had a great couple of months with my friends and family. However I have been looking forward to the rainy days for me to stay at home and do some personal improvements like reading books and working on my crafts.

Just for you to know, I took theĀ IT degree because I love working planned ahead. IT project usually have a strict timeline so I value time so much. If there’s one thing I hate so much about other people, it is their inconsideration about other people’s time.

I was in the supermarket earlier at 10 am to get some groceries for the week. I usually do this before I go to the office because it is on the way. I went in, pulled out my list, got the items then went straight to the cashier. The cashier was talking to the bagger boy and did not even greet me. They were obviously chatting about gossip and they were quite relaxed. It is like I was not a customer waiting.

I was furious so I said “could you please hurry up?”. She said, “hold on please”. So, mad as I was, I left my grocery in the cashier and went to find the store’s general manager. I told him, “Good morning sir, could you kindly help me checkout my items, your attendant seems to be engaged in an important chat”.

Embarrassed, the manager stood up, and went to the cashier. In front of me he scolded the bagger and the cashier and gave them a week’s suspension. I was also given some discount stubs as a token of apology.

I went out the store, with a “despicable me” grin. That is what happens when people waste my time.

I see them when I sleep and when I am awake. When I am in the shower, or working, or eating… I am haunted by the ghosts – of the tablet PC.

Geeeesh! I really am crazy about getting a tablet PC. It was all my boss’s fault! Yesterday he brought his new Galaxy Tablet PC to brag. He was so proud that he said he would not need his PC anymore because he is very comfortable answering emails on his new gadget. Curious, I borrowed it for a couple of hours, telling my boss that I would do a review about his gadget if it really is what he tells us.

At first I thought he was just overselling. But then, the moment I laid my hands on the tab, it was awesome…

Fits my hand yet not too small to view emails and browse the net. Fast response. Good graphics and yeah elegantly designed. I bet this will really bite the Ipad’s market. So there, after a couple of hours, I surrendered the wonderful gadget to my boss. And yeah, it was awesome. And I admit, I am hooked. I gotta get a tab like that right away!

Earlier, I met with a friend of mine who was a former colleague. We used to be circuit designers in our previous company but then I shifted career to IT and I had no new news from her since then. That was two years ago.

I was surprised to see how successful she became. She said, she was sick of the technical stuff about circuits so she decided to shift to the medical field. She took a course from a medical assistant school and is now working as a private medical transcriptionist for a clinic. She told me the pay is great and the work is not that stressful. The only thing difficult is understanding the medical terms. But then this is what school is for.

Anyhow, I am glad that she is well. We spend the day talking about new gossips about our previous officemates. It was all fun. Talking to old friends is one of the best things in life. So next time, we will set up a reunion party with our old colleagues that we miss so much.

Summer is so hot these days. Yesterday temperature rose to 39 degrees. Air conditioning in the office was just not sufficient anymore, so they installed new ceiling fans to keep the air flowing.

The rising temperatures always gets people to talk about climate change. But come to think of it, nothing can be done about the world’s climate. At not without a leader. The fight against climate change is the whole world’s problem.

The simplest way to cool down the earth is to shut down all heat generating equipment. This is not just limited to air conditioning, refrigerators and light bulbs at home. This includes every car in the street, every power plant, and every TV antenna there is. The world will certainly cool down if these things are shut down for just probably a year right? However no matter what people may say, it is just not doable. No one in his sane mind will be able to lead the world into shutting down everything for a year.

Me and my mom are very open with each other. We share our secrets and sometimes even our clothes. Every mother’s day we just go out and have dinner. That is perhaps our template celebration for mother’s day. Usually, simple cards are enough for gifts but this time, I would like to give her something that she always wanted to buy for a long time.

My mother always tells me that she wants to try slimming pills. It is not just for the figure but for her health too. She needs to slim down to lower her blood pressure. I did some research and I came across this product called lipozene diet pill which claims to be effective with little or no side effects. Of course I will have to talk to her doctor about this first if it is safe or not.

Diet pills or any other pills for that matter must always be taken with prescription. Even if they claim to be “natural” you still must consult your physician.
