There are a number of ways to slim down. Best way is to do sports. And when I sports I meant athletic sports (and not chess). For as long as you will sweat a lot, then it is good enough. Another way is to do some fasting. This is perhaps the hardest. This requires some powerful meditation and perhaps a jail to keep you from buying a quarter pounder from the nearest Mc Donalds. Another way, is to use slimming pills. I personally think of this as a desperate approach. For instance you have two months to slim down because you have a bikini pageant to join. I have never tried this approach before but my friends always suggest it to me.

Doing some research, I usually find the brand Lipofuze as a very effective pill. I want to give it a try but as a rule, I would consult my doctor first. One of my friends tried at and said it worked for her, but I want to be sure so I’ll have a consultation first.

When it comes to answering the question “where do I invest my money”, the usual answer is, it really depends. Others buy stocks or invest in a mutual fund. Others venture into sales business. Some even buy gold bars and just keep them in the safe. Personally, whenever I am asked on where to put my money, I definitely answer “somewhere less risky”. We all know that investments all have risks but you must weigh the risks. Think about the risks if it can be easily managed or not. Profitability follows after that. The faster the return of investment, the better. Also, I always make it a point to invest on something that could be easily liquidated. For example in sales business, if ever you think that you want to get all your investments to use the money on something better, you just do a price drop.  Making your investments liquid is very helpful especially in rough times.

Yesterday, my two-year-old Casio Exilim digital camera passed away. Actually I broke it. Left it in my pants then threw the pants in the washer. Great job huh. Our company outing is next week but I do not have a camera. How am I supposed to get candid shots of my drunk boss then?

So here I am, browsing through so many review sites hoping that they really tell the truth about the product. I normally do this first before I go to the mall and buy. This way I can have detailed information about the product I am interested in. I used to just ask the sales person but then they usually just lie to the customers just to sell. I learned my lesson, so better do some research first.

Since yesterday morning I have been reading reviews. I feel I have read so much information that I could probably sell better than a sales agent. Anyhow, I have narrowed down my results to about ten brands. One of them, a fuji finepix. It is time to see the cameras personally.

In IT companies who deal with foreign clients, collaboration software and web conferencing are essential. These two tools allow multiple entities to unite and work on projects more efficiently. With this, online meetings have been a common thing among employees in our company. However there are times when I really think that personal meet ups are still better.

Take for example our new project. It is a Web Portal where five web server technologies meet. Obviously with a project like this, a great deal of planning is needed, hence long hours of chit chat and conferencing. However in conferences, you only hear the person’s voice. In some instances you see him on webcam yet conferences tend to lack something – involvement. Being present in a meeting personally obliges you to listen to what others are saying. This allows you to contribute more. Also, you can never multitask in a personal meeting unlike when in conference calls you tend to do something else while listening to the speaker. My point is, if it is possible to meet up, then by all means do meet up. It will really speed up your planning time.

Whenever I do some shopping at the mall, kitchen showrooms always catch my attention. I find those modern looking kitchens so attractive. Metal tiles, air tight drawers and glass cabinet knobs. It is like if I had a kitchen like that, I would definitely go to a culinary school.

For me, I think the two most important areas of the house are the kitchen and restroom. I usually spend a lot of time in these areas. The kitchen, is almost always busy, especially when mom is around. In our old  house, the kitchen is also the dining area. Sometimes I even prefer working there because the busy ambiance keeps me motivated to work.

Anyhow, enough with the mumblings. Someday, I will get that kitchen I have always dreamed of.

My sister will be visiting her optometrist tomorrow, because she’s having a lot of trouble watching a movie without tearing up involuntarily.

My mother started worrying and set up an appointment with our family doctor immediately. She also made appointments for all of us.

As we previously paid visits to our doctor, she recommended me to get glasses because my job requires me to get in front of a computer for a long period of time, and it’s not too good for my eyesight.

I started looking for cheap eyeglasses that don’t sacrifice the quality for the price, and I can say that google really is my best friend!

Do you have any cheap brands to recommend? Please feel free to comment on this post. :)

So this is how it feels to be the object of jealousy. Yeah well, I may be just exaggerating right now but I really feel that everyone in my office hates me right now.

Here’s what happened: A couple of weeks ago, one of our biggest clients paid us a personal visit at the office to see how the project is doing. The project, which was assigned to our team, was well received. Because of this, the client promised the team that they would give more projects to us because of the way we handled things. To keep things short, they were happy.

On that same week the client gave the team a dinner treat and sort of promised us that they would invite all of us at their site in NY. Everyone became so excited.

So here’s where my problem comes in. Earlier today, my boss announced that he received an email from that client and that they are inviting ME to visit NY. My boss even bragged that it was an all expense trip with accommodations from luxury new york city hotels. At an instant it felt awkward. I know the team wants to go there so badly yet I was the only one invited. I am supposed to feel happy right? But I definitely am not. No I am not so sure if I must accept the invite or not.
