Parents usually try to make sure that everything around their kids are safe. They try to keep the environment as “kid-friendly” as possible. From distilled drinking water, to non-toxic toys and PVA free bottles and even up to (the insanely expensive) lead free Crocs slippers, nothing can stop parents in keeping their kids away from hazards.

However, sometimes parents overlook some areas in the house which can be hazardous to kids. One of the areas I am talking about is the restroom. Children can easily drown in the tub or even in a toilet. They could also easily slip on the slippery tiles in the comfort room. Of course this could easily be avoided by keeping the door closed. Or even better, install toilet and hot tub covers to avoid any drowning hazards.

I posted this blog because one of my friends experienced this with her kid. Her three year old daughter almost drowned when she tried to scoop water from the tub. Fortunately she saw her kid immediately. I hope this can serve as a lesson to parents.

Usually, when you want to get huge discounts on items, we wait for the holidays. However sometimes, holidays are so far away. So what do we do? Well, maybe you should try searching for an online auction.

Actually, a friend of mine recently suggested this to me. I tried it and it was really great! A lot of items are on auction and they have very low starting bids. The process is simple, you just need to create an account to be registered. Then you are all set. Just find some items you which interest you then place your bid. The bidding continues for a few days and when the bid closes, the highest bidder gets the item. So you must be thinking how you can get a discount if only the highest bidder gets the item? Well, the process takes some luck too. Fortunately, if you are the only one who bid for the item, then you win the item for the price you prefer.

I am still waiting for the closing of the bidding period. Crossed-fingers, I hope I get the item I bid on.
