Flabs. I hated my flabs.

I got so caught up with work that I grew a layer or two of flabs, and I was so frustrated. I tried dieting, but since I love food so much, it wasn’t a big help. Then I thought of going to the gym. The problem is going to the gym might cost me too much – aside from monthly and annual dues, I have to limit myself from eating. Bad. Then I saw a friend who from what I remember was double my size the last time I saw her. When I asked her what she did to achieve that figure, she just jogs!

A lot of people think that you need to spend too much time and effort to lose weight. Actually, it’s not true all the time. There are easy fat burning exercises that you can try to get rid of the extra calories you’re having for lunch.

Jogging – you don’t need to jog or run too far. Devoting an hour thrice a week (daily would be ideal) to jogging would give you slow but proven results. When you job, you think you only work on your leg muscles but it’s actually as if you’re working on your whole body. You can vary your jogging routine by including some exercises on your arms and torso for a whole body work out. Even jogging in place everyday can help you lose those fats!

Brisk walking – if you don’t like running, walking briskly is something that you can do, too. It’s almost the same as jogging or running, but of course, with less speed and intensity, but the same effect. J

On my way home from work, I saw white led Christmas lights glittering in the streets. Gosh, it’s the “ber” months now (In case you didn’t get it, it’s Septem-ber, Octo-ber, Novem-ber, and Decem-ber).

It seems like it was only a few weeks since we celebrated New Year’s Eve. And now it’s almost the holidays again. My sister and I started reminiscing about our huge pine-tree like Christmas Tree that was in the middle of a huge pebbled star on our lawn when we were still kids. It’s actually just a fake tree but since it was amongst our trees in the garden, only taking up the center stage, one would think that it’s real. In fact, for the drunk guy who peed in it in broad daylight (with the Christmas lights turned off), it must definitely have looked real. Too bad he already pissed on it before we were able to shoo him off our Christmas Tree.

That was the first and only tree we’ve ever had. Until now, we don’t have a Christmas Tree so we’ve haven’t decorated one for more than a decade. I know it’s just an ornament which you can do without (proven in our family, btw). But there’s just something cozy and warm about decorating it with your family, seeing presents underneath it, and gathering around that special tree once a year to open those presents.

I hope I get my first ever Christmas bonus this year. I promise if I do get one, I’d buy my family a memorable Christmas Tree. ^_^

Last month, my boss surprised me with an unexpected promotion. He said, the reason for this is my exemplary performance at work and my dedication to please the clients. I was not aware that my biggest client emailed my boss, recommending that I get a promotion. I was so glad because I am having financial trouble right now.

Of course, with any promotion comes a salary increase. My gross pay went up 40% and I was very happy at first. However, when I got my salary yesterday, I realized that my tax went up as well. Depressed, I realized that as long as I remain an employee, I will remain in this financial crisis.

So now I am looking for a small business opportunity for additional income. I haven’t started any business before so I will use this business to learn. The only problem now is, what kind of  business to get into.

Last night I came home late from work because of some stupid critical error in the network. I was so stressed at work that all I wanted to do after was to get in the house and just sleep. Unfortunately, when I arrived home, I realized that I accidentally left the keys inside the house! You could just imagine the feeling. It was 11:30 and I could not think of anyone to help me.

I was so tired then so I just sat on the porch and slept. After a few minutes I heard someone calling me. It was my neighbors Mat and Ellie. They also came home late and noticed that I was lying wasted on my porch. They help me (literally) break into my apartment. Finally, I got my good night’s sleep.

Of course, I was not able to report to work today because I was too tired to get up. I think I’ll just go to the mall and watch a movie to rid myself of the stress AND to look for good door knobs for my door. For now I’ll just enjoy the cool morning and the warm bed. Ahhh…. this is the life…
