Text messaging has now been popular nowadays as a means of communication. Emailing was the trend before, but it was such a hassle to open your inbox because your phone browser is too slow. Short messaging service has already been available before but it was not that popular.
SMS is really great because it is fast, cheap, and relatively reliable. This is probably the reason why other people abuse it, spamming cellular phone users of different ads of products they sell. Just today, I have received texts about weight loss diet supplements, cash loans, and even car insurance. The seller basically just uses software that automates the message sending process yet he still pays for the messaging fees. This is probably why it is not illegal. As long as cellular phone companies are paid, then they really won’t do anything about those spammers. Anyhow, I guess text spamming does have its advantages over email spamming. One is that phones don’t really have spam filters do they?

Oh my gosh! I have a job interview on May 31st!
It’s a good thing I was able to buy and start using the best eye cream for wrinkles last month so I need not worry about those lines showing during the interview (not that I have them, but at this age of mid-twenties, prevention is better than cure). Now all I need is to power dress!
Ummmm… that means a complete overhaul of my clothes though. I’ve been wearing jeans at work for the longest time now. Good thing my sister is very stylish and agreed to help me shop tomorrow. Oh, and she also promised to do my hair and makeup for that interview. Siblings can be very handy at times like this, don’t you think?
After power dressing, what else do I need… Ah-ha! I need to look radiant and fresh. Might as well call and schedule for a home service massage. I guess I’m all set. Job offer, here I come! ![]()
I have always been practical about things. For example, instead of buying expensive luxury bags, I go for value for money branded bags. I always value my money’s worth. Right now I’m saving up to buy some stocks as my investment.
Anyhow, since I have mentioned investments, do you think investing in jewelries is still a good idea? I know lots of people may say that gold is no longer increasing in value as before yet whenever I see a good deal regarding jewelry, I take it. Just yesterday a good friend of mine offered me a 22k ring for a very cheap price. The only catch is the ring had an empty diamond nest but I can take care of that, Loose diamonds are cheap anyway.
So maybe I’m a little addicted to jewelry, but I really resell them once I get a buyer. But I admit that it gives me pleasure to use the jewelries before selling them. Hmm… come to think of it, I guess I’m not really practical all the time.
I have been seriously considering resigning in my current job. And seeing an advertisement about philadelphia airport jobs triggered something inside me (believe it or not, I had wanted to be a flight attendant - free travel!). My friend once advised me that there are two reasons why people stay at work. It’s either you:
- Love your job, or
- Your pay is great
I like my job, but there’s no room for growth in my company. As for the pay, I happen to know that industry standard dictates that - modesty aside - I’m worth three times my current salary. My boss is just too dense and stingy to acknowledge the need to align me with that.
I guess the only reason I’m still working in my company is because it has become my comfort zone. I am in a position where I have a lot of authority and the people on my team and those that really matters trust and respect me. It took me a long time to earn that respect and trust and I know that if I do decide to bid my farewells and join a new company I’d most likely start from scratch.
But, come to think of it, that’s not enough reason to stay. I guess it’s time for me to be bold and move forward. God, help me.
Did you know that there are actually foods that burn fat?
All this time I thought that food only increased the amount of fat that we have in our bodies.
I guess the internet proved me wrong again!
I’ve known a lot of friends who had a lot of trouble handling their diet issues to lose weight, but with this discovery, I know now that they’d be glad and love me forever! Joe, a friend of mine, had a terrible childhood because he was fat and his friends called him porky. Because of this, he got determined to stand up and control himself and his diet. During our college time, he’s now one of the university crushes! I’ll let him know about this discovery, I’m sure he’ll be glad.
My father has been having issues with his hair. His hairline is receding and the middle part of his head is slowly losing hair. I guess I got my vanity from him. He’s recently been addicted to watching television ads, especially the ones related to hair implants or hair growth enhancement products.
He’s been really conscious about his bald spot, and actually started researching about what causes hair loss.
I guess it’s because we tease him about it so much that he became conscious. Self esteem plays a pretty big role in one’s life, after all. Either way, I’m going to have to show him that we love him even if he’s bald!
I recently saw an image of a teenage girl staring into the mirror. The reflection showed a fatter version of her, but in reality, she’s almost like a walking skeleton.
It’s what everything around us wants to think. We’re all slowly being brainwashed about what we think is attractive. All the hollywood stars out there are skinny, and they make horizontally challenged people comedians instead.
I guess this is what forces the teenagers nowadays to take appetite suppressants. It’s just sad, really.
