I’m pretty knowledgeable in setting up a computer from scratch – from the assembly to the partition, OS installation and software customization; plus network connection. In fact, I used to be the unofficial IT when we were just around 15 in the company. However, when it comes to laptop computers, I’m quite hesitant in tampering with it, especially if it’s my own netbook with my personal files. I’m afraid I might do something wrong and end up losing all those precious files. Yes, I know, I should have a back up hard disk to avoid utter lamenting on misfortunes such as a laptop crash. But due to budget constraints, I never get to buying one, until yesterday that is.

Over the weekend, I finally had it with the smart failure screen on my netbook’s startup which has been there for months now. So, using my credit card, I asked my friend’s help in upgrading my hard disk to 320 gig and finally starting from a clean slate – a fresh install of Windows 7. He also suggested I use my old hard disk as an external one for file backups. Having an ECE computer-fanatic friend really does come in handy in times like these. ^_^

He just skyped me informing me that I can get my upgraded netbook later after work. I can’t wait to customize it! 0:D

I unexpectedly received a call from one of my friends who’s based in UK – Eberlyn. Knowing that I’m into internet marketing, she asked me if I could help her out in her business plan. The thing is, according to her, people there are in need of some serious, durable protective clothing since most of the ones in the stores are fashionable yet flimsy. She wants to be able to create clothing that’s more tear-resistant type – one that can withstand harsh and changing conditions.

I find her idea quite promising. I was honest with her though and told her that my specialty is online and I can help her out with that. But with regards to marketing offline, that would be her call. She was ecstatic about my enthusiasm and told me she’ll email me the details so I can review it and give her my recommendations. Will keep you posted. ;)

There are times when I look around and kept help but think that I’m being fooled. When I come home to a hot meal, a warm bed and a family that loves me, I realize, what if things might have been different? As someone from a well-off background I’ve never really tasted sheer desperation, or really had to knock on wood. What if i contracted malignant Mesothelioma the next day? Would my beliefs be the same? Would I still believe in the good in the supernatural forces governing the universe? Would I still believe in inter-connectivity and that everything happens for a reason?

This is why I have the utmost respect for people who come from a tough background. People who have had to whether seemingly impossible trials and tribulations and have had to answer the most important question of the human condition: why? Why does this happen to me – to people who have done nothing but lead noble and empathetic lives? It is for this reason that I believe it is so much more meaningful when these people are able to choose hope over anger and emptiness upon being faced with that question.

I don’t think there has ever been a time where I’ve wanted to hit the beach more than these past few weeks. I’ve been spending all day doing my taxes and all these forms are literally driving me insane.

There are times where I’d be staring at a deductions sheet and just start spacing out; imagining that I was sitting on the beach surrounded by beautiful men. I could almost hear the waves crashing! It really just makes me want to get up and call those Outer Banks rentals I keep hearing about. I hear great things about the beach life there. I don’t know if there are waves to surf on, but at this point I really don’t care. It’s hot, I’m stressed, and I need a break. First thing I’m going to do when I get there is run straight into the water and just let the waves carry me as I watch the sun hang lazily in the sky.

We often make fun of our boss because he is turning bald yet he still cannot accept it. Imagine a very fat person wearing a hat to cover his balding head. He still has hair however it is quite thin and you could actually see his shiny scalp underneath.

But how come not all men turn bald? I have also Asian friends and most of them do not have the same problem. Hmm… I wonder what causes hair loss?

I did a little research and looks like all the websites pointed out to two causes: Genetics and High Testosterone levels. If it is caused by genetics, obviously you cannot do anything but blame your father. However if it is because of high testosterone levels, there are certain supplements you can take.

When it comes to this kind of situation, I guess the only solution is acceptance. Balding is not that bad as long as it does not make you feel embarrassed. My advice to my boss: Spare the had and show off that shiny head!

I’ve only recently discovered the importance of developing regular sleeping habits for being always fresh. I’ve always known that getting sleep the night before a busy day is important, but I’ve never known just how much until now. Lately I’ve been having trouble remembering things at work and staying focused on what I’m doing. I find sometimes that I’m full of energy for a few hours, and then a complete deadbeat after.

What aggravates this situation even more is when the lack of sleeping hours pile up from one day to the next. Let’s say I lose 2 hours of sleep every day for a week. At the end of the week, I will be off by 14 hours! If that continues into next week, it will be 28 hours! Think about what effect this has on your mind if this becomes a life-long habit. You will always be tired and you will always be falling on that as an excuse not to achieve anything or work as slow as you do. Yes, you!

I’ve found that a good motto for personal change and being always fresh is

“if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll just keep getting what you’ve already got”.

Have you ever been in bed doing the deed with that hot somebody, and he’s going to town on you like no tomorrow, and then it all comes huffing and puffing to an abrupt halt? If your answer is no, consider yourself lucky (if you had been enjoying it up to that point that is).

There’s a guy that my friend has been dating for about two weeks now. And according to her, the sex is amazing – to a certain point that is. They recently found out (yes, they chose to address the issue together) that the guy was having erectile problems because he has a bad heart – causing the lack of blood flow. They talked to one of our friends about it (who is outrageously gay by the way) and he recommended taking Xenadrine RFA X. After reading a few Xenadrine RFA X reviews, they finally settled on a product called Extenze. In the name of screaming orgasms and all that is good in the world, I do hope it works.
