Today is such a nice day! No boss to deal with, to tasks to do, just a free day to waste time and bandwidth on Youtube and Facebook. Anyhow, I’m not very fond of Facebook, and I hate wasting time. I’d rather do something useful on this free day like catch up on the newsletters and SEO trends. But then I remembered that I was supposed to tend to employees request for additional insurance benefits so I guess I’ll work on that one for today.

Good thing it is now very easy to get a full term life insurance quote online unlike before. A few years ago, even though the web was already available, insurance companies never utilized it for service. They preferred one-on-one conversations with clients. Now it’s just type your email and send! it’s that easy.

Anyhow, I won’t be doing that for the whole day. I guess I’ll just read the newsletters then. For now, it’s time for lunch. Later then!

I am quite particular with my teeth hygiene. I have always considered my pearly whites to be one of my greatest assets, and other people should think the same. After all, of all the parts of your body, your teeth are irreplaceable. And I quote from Wikipedia, “Teeth are among the most distinctive (and long-lasting) features of mammal species.”

Well, I’m not the type who thinks it’s mandatory to floss every day (I do acknowledge that flossing is an important aspect of dental health), but I’m the type who follows a sound oral hygiene program and the recommended twice-a-year teeth cleaning.

After all, the procedures used and recommended by your dentist to clean your teeth will vary, depending on the condition of your teeth and oral health, as well as what your dentist feels is needed. And the Plano dentist who last checked my teeth said twice-a-year teeth cleaning is enough for my current teeth condition.

At the moment though, I’m quite behind schedule and I’m literally having mini-nightmares about getting gum diseases because of the slight delay. I better give my dentist a call soon and schedule in a teeth cleaning session. What about you? How committed are you in taking care of your oral health?

Have you ever heard of the term “fulfillment services” before? Me neither. But I was really impressed with a company that promises to give its clients “fulfillment” from their products. I just came across this site while searching for an outsourcing company to build our webpage and I was honestly impressed. From what I read, they are the company who build websites for large companies like Sony. Imagine that…

Promising to give “fulfillment” to clients is really one hell of a promise. This can only be possible if the company is really an expert in their field. I was so impressed with their company core values that I decided to email them to ask for a quote. I hope everything turns out well.

Yesterday was a dream come true for me. I finally got the chance to ride a real horse! This horse is not just the ordinary pony you see in carnivals, this horse is a full bread, top of the line, super horse! Hahaha. I do not really know what words to describe a horse, but I guess the owner’s status can speak for it.

The horse’s name is El Rico, I think he was named after the owner’s favorite singer (don’t ask). Anyhow, the owner, is an equestrian and a veterinarian whom I met in Toastmasters. He invited me to watch him play Polo with his colleagues. I was not doing anything much at home so what the heck, I grabbed my coat and drove to the venue. After the game, he asked me to try riding El Rico. It was fun, but I was not that comfortable because I was not wearing breeches. It was worth the experience and I can’t wait to try it again next time.

I recently gained weight. It would have been great if that weight was equally distributed. But as always, it seems to just concentrate on the belly part. *sigh* It’s the “season to be merry”! The season where there are tons of reunions and gatherings… I need to dispatch these accumulation of fat in my belly before I attend any of those parties. I’m really tempted to get one of those weight loss supplements.

But anyway, I might just enroll in Bikram Yoga for one week. That way, I get to lose the belly fat, and have glowing skin afterwards. ^_^

It’s been a while since I last saw my credit card statements with zero balance due. Last month I settled all my debts to have a clean slate for the coming year. The problem is, the zero balance on my statement just made me even more eager to buy things!

So I thought, since I am debt free right now, I must be wiser in purchasing stuff. I have lots of things that I want to buy this Christmas but I listed down only the things that I really need.

On the top of my list is a netbook. I have been wanting to buy this one for a while because I had a hard time bringing my laptop everyday to work. Currently, I have a 17 inch HP laptop which weighs about 5 kilograms with the adaptor (talk about weight-lifting huh). A friend of mine suggested getting a 12 inch netbook - not too small, and not to big either. He recommended two brands, Acer Aspire or MSi. Both have basically the same price and specs, although Acer offers pretty good discounts and includes lots of freebies. I’m planning to compare the two brands tomorrow if I get a chance to go out early from work. I’ll keep you guys posted.
